Eligibility/Qualification

  • MSc degree in Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Mouse Embryology, or Genetics
  • Preference will be given to applicants with experience in these fields
  • Knowledge or interest in bioinformatics is a plus

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Investigate the specific functions of distinct limb progenitor cell populations in generating digit patterns through lineage tracing in wild-type and genetically altered mouse models.
  • Assess the effects of genetic ablation of specific progenitor populations on digit organogenesis.
  • Utilize advanced CRISPR/Cas9 based transgene technology to explore how modifications in limb progenitor blueprints affect digit numbers and identities in context of congenital malformations and evolutionary diversification, particularly in Artiodactyla and birds.
