Description
Today’s cities are facing significant challenges due to climate change and environmental degradation. The PhD project will investigate the socio-economic impacts of atmospheric climate change through empirical methods, such as household surveys, and explore how human behavior evolves under climate-related stresses, particularly urban heat. This study will deliver behavioral models for the cities of Barcelona and Antwerp and will involve the connection of behavioral insights to digital twins developed in the UrbanAIR project.
The doctoral position offers a four-year employment period, subject to a progress assessment after the initial 1.5 years, with potentially increasing salary from €2,872 to €3,670 over the contract duration.
