Eligibility/Qualification
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields.
- Fundamental knowledge in cybersecurity, computer networks, or artificial intelligence.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Competence in Linux/Unix environments, Python, and PyTorch.
- Experience with programmable network development (e.g., SDN and P4).
- Coursework in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics with strong mathematical and abstract reasoning skills.
- Interest in interdisciplinary research and demonstrated independence in leadership roles on research projects.
Description
This position aims to support innovative projects in cybersecurity that enhance the resilience of next-generation computing environments. The research will include developing advanced cybersecurity methods and technologies, programming intrusion detection systems, and utilizing reinforcement learning and generative AI to combat intelligent attacker vectors. Candidates will also mentor undergraduate and master’s students, organize lab equipment, publish research findings, and contribute to developing research proposals.
