Research Area
The successful candidate will focus on enhancing the Long-Term Field Experiment (LTE) (meta)database, improve data accessibility and usability, and perform advanced statistical and spatial analyses.
Location
Müncheberg, Germany (approximately 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg). The position may involve additional sites in Dedelow and Paulinenaue.
Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related subjects.
- Expertise in geospatial and/or experimental data analysis.
- Experience with long-term experimental systems, particularly in agricultural or environmental contexts.
- Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, and/or MATLAB) is a plus.
- Proven ability to publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new interdisciplinary topics.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Expand and improve the LTE (meta)database and overview map.
- Conduct advanced statistical and geospatial analyses on experimental data and agroclimatic indicators.
- Identify and curate relevant spatial and experimental datasets.
- Develop and present clear narratives demonstrating the value of data repositories.
- Support development of knowledge management strategies for effective data reuse.
- Contribute to high-quality scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
