Description

The successful candidate will engage in innovative research at the intersection of plant physiology and microbiology to establish phage-based biocontrol methods. The project encompasses:

  • Dissecting organismal interactions among plants, bacteria, and phages.
  • Conducting microbiological and plant physiological experiments.
  • Utilizing methodologies such as bacteriophage isolation, phage application strategies, next-generation sequencing (NGS, RNA-seq), and molecular biology techniques.

The PhD project will be part of a collaborative effort between Prof. Frunzke’s Lab at IBG1 and Dr. Arsova’s Lab at IBG2, focusing on advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
