Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in biology or a closely related discipline obtained within the past 7 years in Poland or EU countries.
- Strong experimental experience in plant molecular biology, particularly RNA sequencing data analysis.
- A solid record of writing skills evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Must meet the formal requirements for a postdoc position as defined by the National Science Centre (NCN): NCN Postdoc Requirements.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will work on developing innovative strategies for plant protection, focusing on:
- Transcriptomic and phenotypic characterization of chitosan-modified interactions between barley and Fusarium.
- Design and synthesis of dsRNA molecules targeting pathogen virulence and plant resistance genes.
- Development and characterization of dsRNA-chitosan nanoparticle complexes to enhance pathogen resistance in plants.
Salary and Duration
- Salary: 10,000 PLN/month (employer gross) with potential performance-based increments.
- Duration: 18 months (until 14.06.2026).
- Start Date: Immediate availability.
