Description:
The selected PhD candidate will partake in the SEESAW (Societal and Environmental Impacts of Complex Extremes in a Changing World) cohort, focusing on the effects of hydroclimatic extremes on forest conditions. Responsibilities include generating a new long-term remote sensing product, analyzing the effects of groundwater levels on forest anomalies, and quantifying climate change impacts. The candidate will collaborate with other PhD researchers, participate in summer schools and workshops, and contribute to improving preparedness for complex hydroclimatic extremes.
