Research Area

The research will focus on the molecular mechanisms behind auxin transport at a molecular level, using techniques from structural biology and biophysics to investigate membrane proteins involved in this process.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A relevant Ph.D. degree
  • Proven track record in structural biology, particularly in membrane protein purification techniques
  • Experience with Cryo-Electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) is highly desirable
  • Knowledge in in vitro biophysics and membrane transporter research areas is advantageous
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to take initiatives and responsibilities

Job Description

The postdoctoral position aims to contribute to the understanding of auxin transport mechanisms by:

  • Investigating PIN auxin transporting membrane proteins.
  • Utilizing a variety of biophysical and structural biology techniques.
  • Collaborating with a team of researchers in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities as required.
