Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- Master’s degree (at least 240 higher education credits) in Engineering.
- Proficiency in numerical techniques and mechanical engineering.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Meritorious:
- Background in biomechanics, anatomy, or medicine.
- Experience with crash simulations using LS-DYNA.
- Work experience in the automotive industry, particularly with experimental testing.
- Proficiency in Swedish (oral and written).
- Strong interest in vehicle safety.
Job Description
As a PhD student, your responsibilities include:
- Developing and refining scientific concepts.
- Presenting research findings in both written and verbal formats.
- Enhancing the SAFER HBM’s biomechanical properties, focusing on belt-to-shoulder interaction.
- Validating and verifying HBMs using existing data for accident reconstruction.
- Teaching at the undergraduate level or performing other duties (up to 20% of working hours).
