Postdoctoral Researcher at ICIQ: The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the esteemed Maseras Research Group. This position will focus on exploring mechanochemistry and photocatalysis using computational homogeneous catalysis tools, funded by the project “Explorando la mecanoquímica y la fotocatálisis con las herramientas de la catálisis homogénea computacional (MECHAPHOTOCOMP).”

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in computational chemistry, particularly with Gaussian or similar software.
- Good command of English, written and spoken.
Valued Qualities:
- Experience in computational homogeneous catalysis.
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Strong communication skills.
Job Description:
- Perform Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations on the thermodynamics and energy barriers of chemical reactions.
- Construct and maintain databases of results, utilizing statistical tools for data processing.
- Collaborate and interact with researchers within and outside the group.
- Create scientific reports and presentations and contribute to the writing of scientific publications.
