Eligibility / Qualification

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Statistical Genetics)
  • Strong skills in statistical methods and their application
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., R, Stata, Matlab, C)
  • Familiarity with the UNIX environment (e.g., Linux) preferred
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral

Job Description

The postdoctoral researchers will:

  • Develop novel statistical tools for the classification of complex diseases based on genetic data.
  • Analyze large-scale datasets (e.g., UK Biobank with hundreds of thousands of individuals).
  • Collaborate closely with Professor Doug Speed and other researchers in a dynamic research environment.
  • Take ownership of their projects, finding innovative solutions to complex problems.
