Eligibility/Qualification

  • Excellent Master’s degree in Physics, Material Science, or Electrical Engineering with a focus on semiconductor technology or nanotechnology
  • Strong knowledge of solid state physics and semiconductor physics
  • Experience in experimental laboratory work (clean room environment)
  • Programming skills in Python or MATLAB
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Willingness to work in a team-oriented and diverse environment

Description

The project aims to fabricate and characterize innovative 1T1R elements and small 1T1R crossbar arrays within the backside area of silicon chips. Responsibilities include:

  • Design, fabrication, and optimization of metal-oxide-based memristive devices compatible with BEOL and 2D transistors
  • Conducting electrical characterizations and developing analysis codes
  • Collaborating with a consortium to disseminate research findings through publications and conferences
  • Demonstrating small application scenarios and future research discussions
