Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, neurobiology, developmental biology, genetics, or related fields.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in neurobiology, developmental biology, molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics.
  • Hands-on experience in experimental techniques in molecular/cell biology and neurobiology.
  • Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, R) or willingness to learn.
  • Prior experience with animal models and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
  • Interest in neurodevelopment, connectivity formation, and molecular behavioral mechanisms.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with zebrafish models.
  • Skilled in advanced imaging techniques.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Researcher will:

  • Design and conduct zebrafish-based experiments focusing on behaviour, brain connectivity, and transcriptome analysis.
  • Use advanced imaging techniques, behavioural assays, and molecular tools to explore brain development and dysfunction.
  • Keep well-documented experimental records.
  • Analyze and interpret multi-level data (from microscopy to sequencing).
  • Collaborate with fellow lab members in interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications and presentations at scientific forums.
  • Actively participate in ongoing lab research projects.
