Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in biophysical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, biotechnology, nanoscience, or related fields.
- Proven track record in protein biochemistry, biophysics, or protein engineering.
- Strong experimental skills in protein purification and biophysical characterization.
- Excellent English verbal and written skills.
- Basic programming skills in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python) with a desire to expand this skillset.
- Interdisciplinary drive and good interpersonal collaboration capabilities.
Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will primarily focus on research activities that include:
- Computational protein design and modeling.
- Protein expression and purification.
- Biophysical, spectroscopic, and structural characterization of proteins.
- High-throughput protein screening.
- Collaborating with the team on innovative projects to develop light- and ligand-controlled protein tools for biological studies.
- Participating in lab meetings and contributing to the overall goals of the Westberg Lab while actively seeking collaborative opportunities within the university and beyond.
