Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Requirements:
- PhD in mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering, or a related discipline (Candidates nearing completion can apply).
- Proven experience in developing novel machine learning methods, preferably applied to biological or dynamical systems.
- Proficiency in programming for data science, including experience with frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Fluency in English.
- Preferential Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science.
- Experience with Neural Cellular Automata, Neural Ordinary Differential Equations, and Graph Neural Networks.
- Experience analyzing biological datasets or applying data science in life sciences, especially oncology.
Job Description
The successful candidate will work on:
- Designing new machine learning methods to measure spatial and temporal dynamics from biological data.
- Analyzing and interpreting datasets generated in the lab.
- Integrating lab-generated data with existing datasets.
- Leading independent research projects and contributing scientific insights.
- Collaborating with bioinformatics and experimental teams within the Research Centre.
- Building collaborations with national and international institutions.
- Preparing scientific publications and presenting findings.
