Eligibility/Qualification
- Background in Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Systems Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
- Experience with computational modeling, data analysis, and/or bioinformatics tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
- Strong communication skills and a motivation to apply computational approaches to biological questions.
- Passion for translational research.
Description
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a multifaceted disease impacting various joint tissues. The ROADMAPS project focuses on uncovering the relationship between genetic variations and OA progression. As a PhD student, you will create an in silico dynamic disease map that reflects patient-specific genetic variations, ultimately leading to precise therapeutic strategies for OA. You will collaborate with leading scientists in the fields of OA pathophysiology, genetics, and bioinformatics.
