Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed academic university degree (Master/University Diploma) in physics or related fields (e.g., atmospheric sciences)

- Experimental experience and strong interest in atmospheric physics and chemistry
- Good programming skills, preferably in Python and LabVIEW
- Proficient in English, both written and oral
Job Description:
The PhD project aims to analyze air pollution causes and changes in Bremen through new measurements of ammonia, aerosols, and VOCs. Responsibilities include:
- Setting up and characterizing a high-precision multi-gas analyzer for trace gas measurements
- Evaluating and interpreting measurement data during intensive observation periods
- Assisting in teaching (2-3 SWS) and transferring expertise in Bachelor’s and Master’s programs
- Participating in research projects and publishing scientific data
- Developing personal scientific work, including a doctoral thesis and publications
- Engaging in other university duties, including participation in academic self-administration
