- Applicants must not already hold a doctoral degree or be currently enrolled in a doctoral program at either the University of St Andrews or the University of Bonn, or any other institution.

- Open to postgraduate students in the Chemistry field.
Job Description
The successful candidate will undertake a multidisciplinary research project focused on:
- Designing, synthesizing, and characterizing molecules.
- Utilizing noncovalent interactions and covalent reactivity for creating self-replicating and self-assembling molecular systems.
- Investigating complex reaction networks and creating dynamic materials.
- Receiving close mentorship and developing broad expertise in chemical design, synthesis, and analytical techniques.
The project will balance time spent at both institutions with an emphasis on collaborative research, culminating in the completion of the doctoral degree within 3.5 years.
