Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or near completion in Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in independent research within interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong publication record in top-tier ML and NLP venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, ICML).
- Proficient programming skills, especially in Python and familiar with NLP and deep learning libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, PyTorch, Jax).
- Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Pasquale Minervini on projects involving the evaluation and enhancement of Vision-Language Models (VLMs). Responsibilities include:
- Exploring and developing strategies to improve VLMs in processing complex multimodal inputs.
- Conducting independent research while collaborating with international partners.
- Disseminating research findings through presentations and publications.
- Engaging with high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure available at the School.
