Postdoctoral Researcher – Bio-Sourced Materials: We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for a postdoctoral position focused on the development of functional bio-sourced materials to be used as catalysts and Anion Exchange Membranes (AEM) for hydrogen production. The successful applicant will join the BIM (Bio-inspired Materials) group at IPREM, and will play a pivotal role in synthesizing functional bio-sourced monomers and ionic liquids, along with their macromolecular counterparts.

Eligibility/Qualification
- Education Level: PhD in Polymer Science or related field
- Experience: 1 to 4 years in related research areas
- Skills:
- Strong experience in polymer science, particularly in macromolecular design and properties.
- Expertise in block copolymer self-assembly is desirable.
- Prior experience in adhesion or electrocatalytic reactions is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, especially in a multidisciplinary setting.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing the chemio-enzymatic synthesis of (meth)acrylic monomers and ionic liquids for copolymer designs through controlled radical polymerization.
- Characterizing and self-assembling functional macromolecules.
- Implementing copolymers as new functional materials to enhance the kinetics of the Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR) in hydrogen generation electrolyzers.
- Writing manuscripts and reports, publishing and presenting research findings in English within the BIM group and the ENDURION consortium.
- Assisting in drafting intellectual property protection documents.
