Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree (120 ECTS) in life sciences or related fields with a minimum grade of B (ECTS grading scale).
- A thesis of at least 30 ECTS.
- Strong academic and practical experience in protein characterization.
- Prior experience in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, kinetic assays, and immunocytochemistry.
- Familiarity with genetically modified mice and experience working with laboratory animals.
- Fluent in oral and written communication in English.
- Additional consideration for candidates with experience in electrophysiology, single-cell RNA sequencing, and neuroscience.
Description:
The research project aims to explore the function and sub-cellular localization of glutamine transporters, their membrane trafficking, and their impact on human pathophysiology. The successful candidate will collaborate with research groups at both the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital. The research will encompass multi-faceted methodologies including immunocytochemistry, electron microscopy, and genetic modification of model organisms to study neurotransmitter synthesis and gut cellular dynamics.
