Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required Qualifications:
  • MSc degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum GPA of 85/100 (or equivalent).
  • Proof of English language proficiency (through prior training or an English language exam).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with characterization and analytical techniques, battery recycling processes, pyrolysis, catalyst synthesis, thermal treatment processes, and adsorption studies.
  • Familiarity with Techno-economic Analysis, Life Cycle Analysis, and Artificial Intelligence.

Description

This interdisciplinary PhD research integrates Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Chemistry. Candidates will explore innovative recycling strategies for sodium-ion batteries, perform LCAs and TEAs to assess environmental impact and economic viability, and collaborate with industry partners for practical experience.
