Job Description
The successful candidate will work on the development and characterization of engineered living materials, implementing biomimetic principles. The researcher will contribute to ongoing projects such as ERC ARCHI-SKIN and EIC REMEDY, as well as prepare project proposals. Responsibilities include:
- Characterization of interfaces between living coatings and building materials.
- Conduct multi-scale and multi-sensor characterization of materials.
- Engage in data mining and statistical analysis related to material characterization.
- Prepare and publish high-quality scientific articles.
- Co-supervise master’s and Ph.D. students.
- Interact with industry stakeholders to facilitate collaborative projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with morphological and physicochemical characterization of materials.
- Proficiency in microscopy, spectroscopy, and rheological assessment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate research proposals and communicate research ideas.
