RequirementDetails
Academic QualificationA two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent in biomaterials engineering, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
Language ProficiencyFluency in English (spoken and written).
ExperiencePreferred experience includes research in biomaterials or drug delivery, familiarity with physico-chemical characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, FTIR), and flow cytometry.

Description

As a PhD student in the Biomimetics, Biocarriers, and Bioimplants group (The 3Bs) at DTU Health Tech, you will:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary research project at the intersection of polymer chemistry, materials science, and molecular biology.
  • Design and synthesize hemoglobin-loaded polymeric nanocarriers.
  • Characterize materials using advanced microscopy, spectroscopy, and flow techniques.
  • Evaluate the oxygen-carrying capacity and system stability of synthetic red blood cells.
  • Collaborate with an international team and contribute to innovative solutions in transfusion medicine.
