PhD Scholarship in Organic Chemistry: The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is offering a fully funded 3-year PhD scholarship under the supervision of Associate Professor Søren Kramer. The research focuses on developing novel methods in organic chemistry, particularly in the realm of enantioselective homogeneous catalysis.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Strong background in experimental organic chemistry.
  • Experience with method development and homogeneous catalysis is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Highly motivated and ambitious individuals seeking scientific excellence.

Job Description:
The candidate will undertake intense training in organic chemistry and catalysis. Responsibilities include:

  • Organic synthesis of starting materials and reagents.
  • Development and optimization of novel organic reactions.
  • Investigation of substrate scope including isolation and characterization of products.
    The work will be conducted in a highly ambitious research group at the forefront of organic chemistry, promoting an enthusiastic and goal-oriented atmosphere.
