Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in the synthesis of functional ceramic particles via hydrothermal synthesis.
  • Knowledge of colloidal chemistry of inorganic particles.
  • Proficiency in advanced characterization techniques, including AFM, Raman spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, and TEM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong autonomy, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
  • A creative mindset with a passion for collaborative research.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing reproducible and scalable synthesis routes for lead-free piezoelectric materials using molten salt, hydrothermal, and solid-state synthesis.
  • Investigating fabrication techniques for the controlled shaping of these materials.
  • Conducting advanced characterization of produced materials utilizing techniques such as TEM, AFM, and Raman spectroscopy.
  • Reporting and disseminating results through internal reports, conferences, and publications.
  • Collaborating with other researchers and technical staff within DTU Energy and across partner institutions in the consortium.
