Eligibility/Qualification
- General Requirements:
- A second-cycle qualification or
- At least 240 credits with at least 60 credits at the second cycle level, or
- Equivalent knowledge from a recognized institution.
- Specific Requirements:
- Minimum 30 second-cycle credits in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- Additional Requirements:
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Proficient in Swedish (oral and written).
- Valid driving license.
Job Description
The doctoral student will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews on relevant research topics and present findings in reports/articles.
- Perform laboratory work including water analysis.
- Monitor and optimize membrane process performance.
- Develop sustainable cleaning protocols for membrane systems.
- Assess pre- and post-treatment options to meet water standards.
- Conduct techno-economical analyses supported by lab to pilot scale experiments.
- Report and communicate regularly with project partners, particularly Sweden Water Research.
Participation in research projects and teaching (up to 10% of working time) is also expected.
