Eligibility/Qualification:
- Principal Project Scientist:
Ph.D. in Physics/Materials Science/ECE/Electronics or M.Tech in the same fields with first-class and 6 years of relevant experience. - Sr. Project Assistant (Admin):
B.Tech/BE/AMIE or a 3-year Diploma or Graduate Degree in an appropriate discipline with 5 years of relevant experience. - Project Assistant (Admin):
3-year Diploma or Graduate Degree in an appropriate discipline with 2 years of relevant experience.
Note: A 5% relaxation in marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates. Salary for retired/superannuated government employees will be as per IRD norms.
Job Description:
Indian nationals are invited to apply for project-based positions at IIT Delhi under a cutting-edge research initiative funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), focusing on the development of advanced photonic and quantum devices. Appointments will be purely contractual, subject to performance reviews, and renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project.

Selected candidates will support the execution of the DST-funded project titled:
“Development of On-Demand Single Photon Emitters, Single Photon Avalanche Detectors, High-Frequency Devices and Nanowire Quantum Devices Utilizing GaAs and InP-Based Epitaxial Semiconductors” (RP04951G_SN).
The work will involve:
- Quantum and semiconductor device fabrication and simulation (for Principal Project Scientist).
- Administrative and technical support for project activities and coordination.
