Eligibility/Qualification
- Candidates must not have been awarded a PhD.
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Candidates must not have resided in Austria for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the employment start date.
- Proficiency in English must be formally demonstrated.
- Interest in academic research and teaching, along with scientific work methods.
- Expertise in Telecommunications, Machine Learning, and Signal Processing.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and innovate.
Job Description
This PhD position involves:
- Developing predictive algorithms and situational awareness strategies using real-time sensing data and communication signals.
- Improving operational capabilities such as precise localization, obstacle detection, and predictive modeling.
- Integrating insights into a digital twin framework to allow anticipatory decision-making.
- Contributing to the development of intelligent and adaptive automation solutions for industrial environments leveraging 6G technology.
