Eligibility/Qualification

  1. Candidates must not have been awarded a PhD.
  2. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  3. Candidates must not have resided in Austria for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the employment start date.
  4. Proficiency in English must be formally demonstrated.
  5. Interest in academic research and teaching, along with scientific work methods.
  6. Expertise in Telecommunications, Machine Learning, and Signal Processing.
  7. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively, solve problems, and innovate.

Job Description

This PhD position involves:

  • Developing predictive algorithms and situational awareness strategies using real-time sensing data and communication signals.
  • Improving operational capabilities such as precise localization, obstacle detection, and predictive modeling.
  • Integrating insights into a digital twin framework to allow anticipatory decision-making.
  • Contributing to the development of intelligent and adaptive automation solutions for industrial environments leveraging 6G technology.
