Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed university degree in organic chemistry, synthetic materials chemistry, or related fields
  • Relevant experience in experimental work
  • In-depth practical knowledge of organic synthesis and spectroscopic (possibly microscopic) characterization of molecular materials
  • Good theoretical understanding of optical spectroscopy and data interpretation
  • Knowledge of self-organization of organic molecules on 2D materials (preferred)
  • Experience in photochemistry and familiarity with chemical software and evaluation tools such as ChemDraw and Origin (advantage)
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (minimum B2 level)
  • High level of motivation and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary scientific environment

Job Description:

  • Conduct scientific services in the project on heterostructures
  • Synthesize various photoreactive molecules
  • Investigate molecular photochemistry in solution and solid state
  • Functionalize 2D materials
  • Understand structure-property relationships of photoswitch molecules adsorbed on 2D materials
  • Opportunity to pursue scientific qualification (doctorate)
