Eligibility/Qualification
- Minimum Education/Experience:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant physics, atmospheric science, engineering discipline, or closely related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in computational and/or experimental techniques for atmospheric boundary layer measurements.
- Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated record of research including publications.
- Experience managing complex experimental field study campaigns, preferably including 3D Doppler LIDAR wind measurements.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for:
- Independent and collaborative scientific research in atmospheric acoustics.
- Development and management of large-scale field studies measuring acoustic transmission loss and associated meteorological parameters.
- Conducting data collection, hypothesis development, literature review, report writing, and supervising both undergraduate and graduate research students.
- Ensuring compliance with established research guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Approximately 60% of time will be allocated for field study management, while 40% will focus on computational modeling of atmospheric acoustics and academic output (publications and presentations).
