Eligibility/Qualification

  • Essential:
  • PhD awarded in organic or medicinal chemistry (required for Research Associate level)
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in chemistry
  • Expert experience in synthetic organic chemistry and analytical techniques (NMR, mass spectrometry)
  • Desirable:
  • Experience in medicinal chemistry
  • Familiarity with chemical database software

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Synthesize target molecules for biological testing
  • Develop optimized synthetic routes and characterize compounds
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators and support research activities
  • Train and mentor students on experimental techniques
  • Maintain safety laboratory records and participate in the development of a vibrant research culture within the School
