Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree (or an equivalent university degree) in Systems and Control, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.
  • Strong background in mathematical systems and control theory.
  • Experience and/or keen interest in hybrid dynamical systems, observer design, learning techniques, and optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.

Job Description

The PhD candidate will design algorithms to ensure the reliable operation of interconnected modules within semiconductor machines. The project aims to automate fault isolation and diagnostics performance by developing innovative monitoring algorithms for complex dynamical systems. This position is part of a larger initiative involving collaboration with ASML, where the candidate will contribute to the advancement of intelligent autonomous systems.
