GRA PhD Position: The Health Systems Optimization (HSOpt) Lab at Kennesaw State University is inviting applications for a fully funded Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) PhD position starting in Fall 2026. This program seeks highly motivated individuals passionate about advancing healthcare delivery through modeling and analytics.

Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Experience in data-driven optimization, Markov modeling, and simulation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia.
  • Strong academic background with excellent writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • High level of self-motivation and curiosity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in data science, reinforcement learning, and large language models.
  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conference proceedings.

Job Description

The selected PhD student will engage in research aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery through advanced modeling and analytics. Responsibilities include conducting research, collaborating with team members, and contributing to publications and presentations in the field.
