Eligibility / Qualification
- PhD degree in Plant Molecular Biology, Plant Biochemistry, or Plant Bioinformatics with emphasis on plant specialized metabolism.
- Proven publication record in relevant scientific areas.
- Mandatory Skills:
- Strong background in molecular biology and plant specialized metabolism.
- Preferred/Additional Skills:
- Experience in terpenoid research, metabolomics, bioinformatics, and protein modeling.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Investigate mechanisms by which floral organs of Petunia communicate using terpenoid VOCs and derivatives.
- Apply cutting-edge metabolomic, transcriptomic, and protein modeling tools.
- Perform biochemical and physiological characterizations to decipher the biochemical pathway of terpenoid ligand perception.
- Characterize bioactivity in planta and identify receptor interactions.
- Collaborate closely with international partners (France and USA).
