Eligibility/Qualification
- Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Theoretical Physics or a related discipline, completed within the last 5 years.
- Experience with High Performance Computing and programming for massively parallel computers.
- Familiarity with quantum many-body methods.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computational science background.
- Knowledge of coupled-cluster and in-medium similarity renormalization group methods.
- Experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in nuclear physics.
- Record of productive research evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Description
- Develop formalism, methods, and algorithms to compute properties of atomic nuclei.
- Prepare nuclear data for machine learning applications.
- Investigate machine learning methods to compute nuclear properties using high-performance computing.
- Present research findings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, health, and quality program requirements.
