Job Description
The primary objective of this position is to develop safe planning and reinforcement learning algorithms with varying levels of confidence for different variants of Markov Decision Processes (MDPs). The candidate will:
- Collaborate with researchers from Inria and Mitsubishi Electric R&D Centre Europe (MERCE).
- Focus on practical solutions utilizing dynamic programming, mathematical solvers, or adaptations of reinforcement learning algorithms.
- Analyze theoretical properties of the developed algorithms, including complexity and optimality measures.
- Validate algorithms through experimental case studies.
This is a fully academic position where the candidate is expected to conduct research, collaborate with other researchers, write papers, and present findings at conferences.
