Research AreaNonlinear Topological Metamaterials
LocationZurich, Switzerland
Eligibility/QualificationMSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics with a strong academic track record

Job Description

The research aims to engineer metamaterials that enable nonlinear topological protection for information transmission. Candidates will derive theoretical models governing these metamaterials and demonstrate their properties experimentally. The project will predominantly utilize 3D-printed whistles exhibiting special scattering properties, including nonlinear cloaking and non-reciprocal amplified transmission, interconnected in periodic networks. The project may extend findings to microwave systems. Successful outcomes are expected to be published in specialized journals.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit an online application that includes:

  • A letter of motivation
  • CV
  • Contact details of two references (no reference letter needed)
  • Transcripts of records
