Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Physics or a related discipline
  • Experience in phase contrast or coherent X-ray imaging
  • Advanced programming skills in Python or similar high-level languages
  • Hands-on experience with instrumentation development
  • Excellent oral and written English skills
  • Collaborative mindset

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience at a synchrotron radiation beamline
  • Knowledge of X-ray microscopy techniques, X-ray diffraction, or X-ray fluorescence
  • Image processing experience, preferably using machine learning
  • Proficiency in German (desirable)

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, your tasks will include:

  • Designing and implementing multimodal imaging concepts at the P05 nanotomography station.
  • Developing and adapting existing in-situ nanotomography setups to meet the demands of water-driven materials.
  • Supporting users in experiment design before, during, and after beam times.
  • Actively acquiring scientific collaborations within the BlueMat Cluster and implementing new sample environments.
  • Advancing your own scientific project within the scope of BlueMat while utilizing the collaborative network.
