Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field (completed within the last 5 years or expected to complete soon).
- Strong background in electrochemistry, specifically related to polymeric materials and ion exchange membranes.
- Expertise in analytical chemistry techniques (LC-MS, GC-MS, IC, ICP-MS).
- Experience in fabricating membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) and validate them in fuel cells and electrolyzers is desirable.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis methods (e.g., PLS-DA, supervised learning).
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct experimental laboratory research to evaluate and characterize electrochemical materials.
- Engage in detailed degradation studies of model interfaces.
- Develop in situ measurement routines to better understand degradation mechanisms.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team setting, contributing to advancements in critical materials recovery, fuel cells, and electrolyzers.
- Communicate findings effectively, both in written publications and presentations.
