Research Area

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Required:
  • PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Biological Anthropology, Biology, Psychology, or a closely related field by the start of the appointment.
  • Preferred:
  • Expertise in one or more of the following:
    • DNA extraction and sequencing from non-invasively collected fecal samples.
    • Extraction and analysis of endocrine and immune biomarkers from non-invasively collected samples.
    • Analysis of complex demographic and genomic datasets.
    • Experience collecting primate behavioral and demographic data in international field settings.
    • Phylogenetic comparative methods.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Associate will perform the following duties:

  • Conduct wet lab and quantitative analyses of endocrine and genomic datasets.
  • Compile and analyze comparative datasets on primate aging.
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present findings at professional meetings.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess strong quantitative and verbal communication skills and a solid work ethic.
