Eligibility/Qualification

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • A PhD in virology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Experience with protein or virus-related laboratory techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills to integrate biochemical, structural, and evolutionary data.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and presentations.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with glycobiology, structural biology, or influenza evolution.

Job Description

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will:

  • Perform biochemical, glycan-binding, and enzymatic assays on HA and NA.
  • Map adaptation signatures through structural, functional, and evolutionary data.
  • Collaborate with partners at the Friedrich-Löffler-Institut.
  • Publish high-impact research and present at international conferences.
  • Supervise students and support collaborative lab projects.
  • Develop scientific independence and apply for personal grants.
