Eligibility/Qualification
- Must hold a doctoral degree by the date of award activation.
- Proposed research must be conducted under a sponsor who holds a formal appointment as an assistant professor or higher at the host institution.
- Must focus on areas directly related to immunology or cancer immunology.
- Applicants with 5+ years of mentored research experience at the time of award activation are ineligible (except for M.D. applicants; residency years excluded).
- Only one fellow per sponsor may apply; sponsors may not have more than 3 CRI-supported fellows at any time.
Job Description
The fellowship provides a stipend of $74,000, $76,000, and $78,000 over three years, alongside a $5,000 annual allowance for research supplies, conference travel, health insurance, or childcare. The program emphasizes hypothesis-driven, mechanistic studies aimed at advancing the understanding of the immune system’s role in cancer.
