Eligibility/Qualification

  • General Eligibility:
  • Completed a degree at second-cycle level, or
  • Fulfilled course requirements totaling at least 240 credits, with at least 60 credits at the second-cycle level, or
  • Equivalent knowledge acquired in Sweden or abroad.
  • Specific Requirements:
  • Successful completion of the English B/6 course or equivalent knowledge.

Description

The doctoral program involves conducting a scientific project and completing at least 30 credits of courses at the third-cycle level. The candidate will explore how antibody targets (HA vs. NA) and isotypes (IgG vs. IgA) influence antiviral function in airway mucus models and in vivo. Methods include molecular biology for antibody engineering, cell culture, influenza virus assays, and multicolor flow cytometry. The ideal candidate should have a strong experimental drive and relevant experience in immunology, molecular biology, virology, or infection models, and be willing to work with laboratory animals.
