Eligibility / Qualification
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Protein Design, Drug Design/Discovery, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in bioinformatics methods for protein structure and ligand modeling.
- Strong background in statistics and experimental design.
- Programming skills, preferably in Python3.
- Knowledge of version control, containerization (e.g., Git, Docker), and Unix-based systems is advantageous.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Executing innovative research projects related to chemical biology, enzyme engineering, and biocatalysis.
- Developing novel methods for leveraging protein structure data.
- Implementing machine learning techniques for analyzing enzyme sequence/structure-activity relationships.
- Conducting statistical analysis of enzyme engineering data.
- Expanding laboratory infrastructure and bioinformatics workflows.
- Supervising internships and theses at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
