Job Description

The Postdoctoral Fellow will play a crucial role in cutting-edge freshwater research, contributing to various government-funded programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing eDNA/eRNA extractions, PCR, and metagenomics preparation
  • Conducting bioinformatic analyses for metabarcoding and metagenomics
  • Analyzing large eDNA/eRNA datasets and environmental metadata
  • Supporting postgraduate students with lab work, data analysis, and writing
  • Collaborating with iwi and partner organizations to promote sustainable freshwater management
