Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD degree in electric machine design, electric drives, power electronics, or related fields.
  • Experience in:
  • Design and control of electric machines using WBG device-based power converters.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
  • Demonstration building and standard control methods for power electronics.
  • Proven publication record in high-impact conferences and journals.
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation.
  • Fluency in English; a track record in national and/or European research projects is a plus.

Job Description

  • Conduct research on electric machine design powered by WBG power electronic converters.
  • Characterize magnetic materials used in electric machines.
  • Research and design polyphase PM motors (SMPM, IPM, outer rotor motors).
  • Investigate noise and vibration reduction in electric machines due to harmonics.
  • Utilize FEA techniques for electric motor design and research on loss minimization.
  • Analyze winding structures to mitigate harmonics.
  • Conduct multiphysics simulations (electrical, mechanical, and thermal).
  • Collaborate with industrial partners on project planning and execution.
  • Supervise PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s students.
  • Publish findings in international conferences and scientific journals.
  • Assist in teaching activities.
