Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in operations research, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in mathematical modeling and optimization.
  • Experience with energy-related projects is preferred; strong motivation to learn is also accepted.
  • Excellent research, communication, and writing skills in English.
  • Independent and creative thinker.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

  • Conduct innovative research in energy modeling and optimization across diverse energy sources.
  • Work on various projects funded by the European Commission and the Dutch Research Council, focusing on energy systems logistics.
  • Analyze past energy consumption patterns and forecast future energy scenarios, primarily for hydrogen-based solutions.
  • Develop energy optimization models to identify factors influencing the energy transition and assess potential risks.
  • Create comprehensive roadmaps for the shift to low-carbon, hydrogen-based energy solutions.
  • Identify key business opportunities, risks, and investment needs in the hydrogen ecosystem.
  • Present research findings at meetings and workshops, prepare progress reports, and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
