About- Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) has issued an employment notice for the recruitment of Associate Professors and Assistant Professors across various Post Graduate Teaching Departments. The university is seeking qualified candidates for a total of 13 vacant positions approved by the State Government.

Eligibility/Qualification–

1. Associate Professor

Academic Record: A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
Master’s Degree: At least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Experience: Minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor.
Publications: Minimum of seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Research Score: A total research score of at least seventy-five (75).

2. Assistant Professor (General Disciplines)

Master’s Degree: At least 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
Eligibility Test: Must have cleared NET (UGC/CSIR) or SET.
Exemptions: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016) are exempted from NET/SET.

3. Assistant Professor (Management – AP-8/2026)

Degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business Administration / PGDM / C.A. / ICWA / M.Com with First Class.
Experience: Two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s Degree.

4. Assistant Professor (Chemical Technology – AP-9/2026)

Degrees: B.E. / B.Tech. / B.S. and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. or Integrated M.Tech in the relevant branch with First Class in any one of the degrees.

Job/Position Description-

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

Delivering lectures and conducting practical sessions for Post Graduate students.
Engaging in high-quality research and publishing findings in reputed journals.
Guiding students in their academic and research projects.
Participating in departmental administrative duties and university-level committees.
Contributing to the development of the curriculum and academic environment.

Hard Copy Submission: After online submission, candidates must submit five sets of the hard copy of the application along with the ATR form, testimonials, certificates, and research papers to the University Office.
