Eligibility/Qualification

  • MSc degree in natural sciences or an interdisciplinary program
  • Knowledge of marine ecosystems, preferably the North Sea or related systems
  • Familiarity with human pressures impacting marine biodiversity
  • Understanding of ecosystem services and their contribution to human well-being
  • Strong quantitative skills; proficiency in GIS software and programming (Python or R)
  • English language proficiency at C1 level

Description

The NO-REGRETS project aims to study the cumulative ecological impacts of pressures on the North Sea as offshore wind energy scales up. Candidates will engage in research involving ecosystem modeling, bioeconomic analyses, and science-based policymaking. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop solutions that are climate-proof and promote ecological and economic sustainability.
